Alicia Coleman, LAC

I am a licensed associate counselor with experience working with adults, adolescents and children. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Arizona State University and Master’s in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

I strive to use a client-centered approach in which I am open, connected and collaborative with my clients while balancing the knowledge and support needed to guide them through whatever it is they are facing. I have experience working in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health centers and am well trained in crisis education and clinical work and can support a diverse array of clients facing many challenges. I have over 8 years experience, working with an array of clinical approaches and interventions mostly around behavioral therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and trauma-based focus, including EMDR. I pride myself on having good clinical intuition and an ability to build rapport quickly with my clients. I am passionate about helping reduce mental health stigma and work with my clients to reduce shame and negative thought patterns so that we can collaborate and work together to support positive and continued emotional healing and growth.

Originally from Montana, I have lived in the desert for a couple of decades, raising my daughter and working to increase the positive impact on my community. I enjoy baking, hiking/being out in nature, reading, writing, and attending live music or comedy shows when I have spare time.
